Letter Up: Word Game for Kids and Adults

If you think that word games aren’t fun, you’re wrong. I have had hours and hours of fun playing board games with my siblings, cousins and friends. Playing Scrabble and Word Factory are our most favorite past time then after doing our homeworks.

Word game is a great way for families to spend quality time while building kids’ learning skills at the same time. Now that kids are spending more time in front of the computer and communication is increasingly less face to face, kids can still enjoy word game. I found this app Letter Up, a real-time multiplayer crossword game and I highly recommend it.

I must admit, I had a hard time constructing some words
(time to play again after so many ears and sharpen my
vocabulary) and I was beaten badly by someone named Mhariez (lol).

I like the game interface. It has very easy to follow instructions and helpful icons as well as notification tones. You actually know what to do with the game even without a tutorial. One more thing that I like about the game is you can choose players and options.

The game is perfect for kids in the primary level as this will enhance their vocabulary. Kids will also have a subtle interaction with other people while playing thus, it is a great opportunity to learn social skills such as civility, patience and being a good winner and loser.

I would let my daughter play this word game since she can choose her opponents. She can choose a specific room to meet her friends and play. This way, I’d be confident that they’re all her friends, not those cyber lurkers.

It’s interesting to note that this game was actually created by dads under www.heysnails.com who want only the best and safest virtual game experience for their sons and daughters.
