Kids and Electronic Toys

Toys give our kids enjoyment that no other things could give. It is children’s nature to be playful that is why they are always looking out for action and toys are what pacify them and give them sheer sense of pleasure most of the time. Today, kids are very lucky. With the rapid advancement of technology, there’s also a rise in the variety of toys more so in battery operated or electronic toys. Most electronic toys give your kids interactive learning games that help them enrich their vocabulary or develop their skills in Mathematics.

One example of good electronic toy is RJ’s “Learn with Me letter Book”. It’s a spelling tablet that recognizes what you spell. Just touch the letter keys to learn and practice spelling. The spelled words appear on the screen. It will prompt you if you misspelled the words and would say “great” or “that’s right” if you spelled the words correctly. I bought its rechargeable batteries online when the original batteries worn out. Until now it is working and still as good as new. It’s a great educational toy for your toddlers and preschoolers.

However, playing with electronic toys for a long time is not good for your child as these might take over your child’s time for other activities. Do not forget that playing outside is still essential to your child’s development and health. They need to inhale fresh air and feel the sunshine. Not to mention the joy they can get while exploring the natural world. So as parent, control the amount your child spends in playing electronic games.

Diaper Bag Must-Haves

It’s gonna be baby’s day out and as much as possible you wouldn’t want to ruin his day. As a meticulous mom, you’ll see to it that everything she needs is right inside your diaper bag. First time moms would surely be having a hard time packing but for their convenience, here are some helpful tips:

diaper bag

Diaper Bag – look for those bags having several compartments and with a sling. Your two hands should be free from holding anything and should be reserved for the baby alone. That’s why; sling diaper bags are the most ideal. Make sure as well that it is water proof, you would be placing your baby’s feeding bottle and some other liquids and there would be incidents of spillage.

Food – not unless you’re breastfeeding, carry as much milk as you can. Bring extra bottles with water in it so that you will just place the milk formula, a little shaking and you’re good to go.

Clothes – you’ll never know how many times your baby gets dirty so bring more than what you think she needs. Don’t forget to include towels and wipes because they come in handy to prevent frequent clothing changes.

Toys – they are your partners when it comes to diverting your baby’s attention. Their attention span is very short and you need to lure them out with rattles and similar items.

Personal Stuff – you diaper bag should also contain your personal things like shades and some freshening items. You wouldn’t want to look hilarious while your baby is well groomed.

The completeness of your diaper bag is the key to have your first baby’s day out a real success. It pays to know what to bring to fully enjoy the bonding with your precious one. It’s not being overly organized but it’s making sure that everything would turn out just fine.

Children’s Toys and Their Benefits

Playing is more than just fun. It plays important role to children’s development. It contributes to the physical, cognitive, social and emotional well-being of children. Playing also helps children to build confidence, to learn about caring for others and to feel loved. It also helps to cultivate the children’s self-confidence, independence and integrity. All of these can be achieved if you will choose your kids toys carefully.

As parents, what you always buy are educational toys. But not just the educational toys can greatly improve your children’s development. Below are the list of some toys and their benefits

Playing with Your Kids is Vital

I got so busy with household chores and other tasks since last week thus I have no time to play with RJ. Guilty as I am, I promised to play with her this weekend. It will be a 4 day vacation for her and hubby because of the National Heroes Day and Eid’l Fitr (end of the holy month of Ramadan) plus the regular weekend so we can play longer.

I may get easily caught up with work and other activities but it doesn’t mean I give less importance to RJ. Nothing is much more important to me than a time spend with her. It is just that sometimes I have deadlines to meet. I miss playing with her. Her favorite is the role playing…she’s the owner and cashier of a grocery store while I am the customer. She has a pink cash register that has a sound of the real barcode scanner. It has calculator too.

Playing with your kids can help you understand them more. You will learn what they need at each stage of development and what interest them. You will also see their talents and abilities, know what their desires are and test their patience that is why it is vital to join in from time to time, if not everyday.

What Your Children Learn from Their Toys

RJ was five years old when we bought her cash register. It is battery operated and has plenty of accessories; play money, a pretend credit card, pretend food boxes and calculator. The drawer can be locked and makes sound when you open it just like the real thing and it has barcode scanner that looks like and sounds like the real usb barcode scanner when you click it. What I love most about this toy is it helped RJ learn how to add and subtract and how to count money. Toys are for fun but wouldn’t it be nice if our kids learn something while having fun? It’s like hitting two birds in one stone.

It is also important to know what your child learns in each toy most especially on your baby’s first developmental stages. Here are some of the toys and games and what your child learns from them.
