Every time I see babies, I can’t help but touch, stroke or nuzzle their skin. It is because baby’s skin is so smooth and delicate. But baby’s skin is also the most sensitive. It is prone to rashes and breakouts and some babies even have adverse reactions to some chemicals that can be found in soaps, shampoos and even in baby baths. As a Mom, I hope that all products are risk-free but that is not necessarily the case. Many products contain additives and potential irritants that breakout sensitive skins.
My daughter turned 10 last July. Yes, she is no longer a baby but her skin remains as sensitive as if she is still a baby. It easily gets dry and breaks out even if she uses frangrance-free soap and cleanser, until I noticed the white spots on her arms and legs last year. I brought her to dermatologist and she was diagnosed with skin asthma. Now that she is close to puberty, I am expecting her skin to be more sensitive so I pay close attention to whatever products she uses most especially on her face. I am glad that there is Cetaphil. The Gentle Skin Cleanser is her skin care buddy for almost a year now.
Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser (for all skin types)
- Mild, soothing, non irritating formula.
- Softens as it cleans by retaining he skin’s needed moisture.
- Mild enough for babies.
CetaphilAdvance Ultra Hydrating Lotion (for dry to very dry skin)
- Clinically proven to hydrate and protect dry skin for 24 hours.
- Non-greasy. Fragrance free.
- Leaves the body feeling soft, hydrated and smooth.
- Non-comedogenic (won’t block pores).
My daughter’s dermatologist though didn’t precribe a particular brand or product. She said my daughter can use any mild product on her skin. But I can’t be too careful when it comes to my daughter’s health and safety so I chose Cetaphil. Why Cetaphil? It’s just simple…because I believe in the product. In fact, in the Cosmopolitan Beauty Awards this August 2012, Cetaphil was heralded by Cosmopolitan as the best facial cleanser.
Pardon my ignorance but I didn’t know there are also Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer and Moisturizing Cream until I received these goodies from Cetaphil.
Hooray! Cetaphil is so generous. I am more than willing to try both the facial moisturizer and moisturizing cream as I know they are safe to use even for the most sensitive skin. For an aging women like me whose skin shows visible signs of aging (wrinkles, dryness and sagging) Cetaphil moisturizers and lotions would be of big help to delay, if not prevent, the premature aging of the skin.
Cetaphil has evolved in 60+ years but no doubt they remain committed to provide evidence based skin care solutions for compromised, sensitive skin. It changed the way it looks but not what it is. It has been tried tested and trusted for years by most dermatologists and pediatricians.
With Cetaphil, I am confident that my family will forever have healthy skin. If you’re a Cetaphil user or want to try Cetaphil, you’ll get the chance to win these Cetaphil goodies…
