It rained cats and dogs yesterday. RJ asked me if she can play out in the rain. I was hesitant at first but then I remember my childhood. Playing in the rain was my favorite thing to do with my siblings and cousins. We were barefooted playing tag, hide and seek, etc., unmindful of the muddy ground. And so my nostalgia became RJ’s pass to play out in the rain. Lol!
Yes, no wellies, coats and umbrellas, didn’t mind to get wet and dirty just like we were. Watching RJ play with her friends made me feel like a child again.
How about you, do you let your kids to play out in the rain? When there’s no lightning and thunder and it’s not so chilly, don’t you think it’s good for your kids to play outside than to be cooped indoors and get bored? Thumping in the water and jumping into created puddles are fun not to mention the other games that your kids can play like tag, volleyball and football. It’s sad when kids are not allowed to get wet and splash out in the muddles and muds sometimes.
Mama used to pinch when I go out and play in the rain but I did it over and over again anyway, so much fun kaya.. Dito di pwede maligo tokaya kasi the rain is always accompanied with loud thunder and lightning.
I missed playing in the rain! If my kids will grow older, I will definitely let them play in the rain too.
ang saya2x nila. it was raining hard here in our place, too!

It’s fun playing in the rain! 🙂 Nostalgic nga. I guess your childhood won’t be complete without it.
I let my kids play outside whether it’s raining or the sun is out. I even let them play on muds, too.Pahirapan nga lang sa labahin lol^_^

That sounds so fun! I can’t remember having played in the rain. My parents are too strict to have allowed me to do that. They would ask me to watch over my younger siblings instead of playing around with other kids. Kids of today are very lucky. Parents are more learned and well-informed about a child’s holistic development; that children learn through play.
Thanks for dropping off a comment at my Nostalgia entry Sis.
Hugs!
