I once had that experience with my youngest daughter. She woke up crying because her ear was painful inside. Remembering an article I read before about a guy who had a pain in his ear because an ant entered it, I asked my child if she felt anything moving in her ear and she said yes. Taking cue from the article I read, I poured a little water in her hurting ear and when she turned her ear down out came the ant.
