My husband loves Jollibee’s burger steak. He orders burger steak instead of the famous chicken joy every time we eat at Jollibee. I tried to cook it and it turned out good. Hubby can now eat burger steak anytime he wants.
Ingredients:
FOR THE PATTIES: 250 gs. ground beef or pork
3 cloves garlic (minced)
2 medium sized onion (minced)
1 egg
1 1/2 tbsp. seasoning
1/4 tsp. pepper
4 slices of white bread
1 cup evaporated milk
cooking oil
FOR THE GRAVY: 1 strip bacon
2 tbsp. cornstarch dissolved in
1 1/2 cups water
1 tbsp. liquid seasoning (optional)
1/4 tbsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
sliced button mushrooms
Procedure:
Patties: Soak slices of bread in evaporated milk set aside. Mix together the first six ingredients then add the drained soaked bread. Mix well. Mold about 1 1/2 tablespoon of the mixture, flatten then fry on a non-stick pan. Set aside.
Gravy: Chop the bacon roughly into pieces and fry in saucepan. Add cornstarch solution. Add remaining ingredients and cook until thickened. If you want a creamier gravy, you can substitute water with milk or cream. Pour the hot gravy on burger patties.

This is one of my boys favorite! I gotta make some this week. 🙂
I also love the burger steak of Jollibee. I read that gravies are made from the droppings of the meat cooked, in this case the burger. They are added to corn starch dissolved in water. I have done that so many times and my kids loved the gravy I made for their meat. Thanks for the yummy post. God bless you all always.
I love their gravy for this…did it taste that way too? Thanks for the recipe sis!
I miss this so much, my hubby used to work in Jollibee Dau and Jollibee Brunei as a Marketing Officer. He got tired of the smell, but now we’re missing it!
