Funny Puppets and Colorful Cake

We were invited by my best friend to their youngest son’s birthday party that was celebrated at their house in Victoria Laguna. It was a two-hour travel that RJ enjoyed so much. She seldom sees rice fields and big trees and all we can hear from her was “Look, it is beautiful!”

I love the celebrant’s character cake. It is patterned on “Cars”, the animated movie about Mater’s action-packed journey that leads to chasing and flirting.  It is very colorful cake and too beautiful to be eaten. Lol!

Came party time, RJ enjoyed the puppet show. It was her first time to see one and her laugh I think was the loudest among the kids. Who wouldn’t laugh with these dwarfs that danced the “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)?” The dance was well executed, with lifting and turning that was very synchronized that I kept on wondering how the puppeteer was able to do that.

There was also a naughty baby dinosaur puppet and Kirara that is named after the Negrito girl in GMA7’s telenovela.

The puppeteer was good (I forgot his name) because he can make voices and can execute the puppets well. He got not only kids’ attention but the adults’ as well.  The puppet show is what made the party different from other birthday parties that we’ve attended. Though the characters are not that beautiful and there were no sound effects, the kids were awestruck and entertained.

Happy birthday again to Paulo and thanks Bes for inviting us.

Now, what could be more colorful than a weekend full of fun?

Spread the love

  1. wow! i love that cake myself 🙂 this is a colorful post, indeed!

by the way, do you mind checking out on The Life and Adventures of A Sack?

  2. Thanks for coming Bes. I am glad that RJ enjoyed. The puppeteer is a contestant in the Pinoy Got Talent 3rd Edition, his name is Kim. He’s good, kahit ako nag enjoy sa puppet show, but Paulo was asking why is Mutah always loud and shouting?:)
