Proper nutrition for the babies and kids are necessary for their healthy growth and development. Giving the right food to children can help achieve their full potential. However, parents should know that their nutritional needs varies on their age, sex, height, weight and level of activity.

The source of children’s strengths are fats, carbohydrates and proteins. Included in the foods that make up a balance diet are meat, fish, vegetables and milk. Adequate amount of nutrients is important to expedite proper growth of children.

It is also important to give the active children enough water. For infants aged four to six months, the breast milk is sufficient. But starting six months or older, children need four to six glasses of water a day.
