The Life Of A Musical Band

A musical band is a group of performers having one goal: to be able to perform a number to the best they could. Often, if they are rendering a specific song that has been popularized because of the skills of the individual players, the copycats will do their best to make the hearer not know the difference. As if they are listening to the original.

Having the talent is one thing. Being skilled for a specific piece is another. Having the right instruments is yet another. Not all guitars, keyboards and even drums are the same. Try to compare an ordinary drum with Tama Drums. Having also the same instruments that the original performers used will make them closest.

Your Child and Music

RJ loves to sing so much. Every time she hears music being played, she would sing on the top of her lungs. Most of what she sings are that of Lady Gaga’s and Rihanna’s. I have nothing against these two performers. There’s no doubt they are are both great…they can write songs and dance  but their songs sometimes annoy me and hurt my ear. So when RJ asked me if she can download video from youtube, I answered “no”.  Then I realized I may be a little harsh with RJ. May be their songs are not irking…may be it’s my age that cannot cope with the new generation’s music. Lol!

Children love tunes with energetic beat. It is like stimulant that alters their moods instantly. They would dance and jump and sing. For them it is enjoyable and fun just like playing. According to research, music can develop child’s cognitive abilities, reasoning and motor skills. It can also be combined with drama and dance to develop the child’s artistic abilities and creativity.

So from now on, I will let RJ to sing and create music with her musical instruments. And if she will ask me if she can download video from youtube, I will gladly say “yes”.

I Hate Traffic

I am grateful that the Manila Water is doing their best in improving their facilities to ensure greater water supply, unlike before wherein we need to use water pump just to have an efficient supply of water but, since the Manila Water started it’s Php3.2 billion water supply improvement project for the towns of San Mateo, Rodriguez and portions of Marikina City, the traffic becomes heavier. I hate traffic. Who doesn’t anyway? Every single minute is precious. Spending time stuck in traffic means losing great deal of time…few opportunities and some of the time to be spent with our family. It even gives me headache sometimes. But if the traffic jam is due to constructions for the improvement of facilities and services, we don’t have much choice but to be stuck on the road for a longer time.

Until now the Manila Water project is ongoing. Aside from the traffic jam that it causes, there are also times that the water supplies are interrupted because the workers accidentally hit and damage the pipes. I just hope this project would end soon.
